From restaurants to retailers to vacation destinations, businesses nationwide are celebrating Military Appreciation Month in May by offering a variety of deals to those who serve or have served, and their family members.

Blue Star Museums: Museums, zoos, nature centers, and other partners in the Blue Star Museums program will offer free admission for currently serving members and their families from May 17 through Sept. 1. A list of participating locations will be available in May at this link.
Six Flags Theme Parks: Servicemembers and veterans can receive a free single-day admission ticket May 23-26, and purchase discounted tickets for up to six family members and friends. Colonial Williamsburg: Servicemembers and veterans, and up to three "direct dependents," are eligible for a free single-day admission over Memorial Day weekend or Veterans Day weekend, plus discounted admission throughout the year. Learn more here.
Indianapolis Zoo: Current and former military members receive free admission on Memorial Day, in addition to $2 off general admission for up to two tickets per visit. Military ID required. Learn more here.

United Parks and Resorts: Servicemembers and veterans can qualify for free admission (with up to three guests) at Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, Sesame Place, and other United Parks and Resorts properties nationwide. Programs vary by location. Click here for details on all the promotions.
Vail Resorts: Servicemembers, military retirees, and their dependents can qualify for a $185 Military Epic Pass for the 2025/2026 ski season, allowing them access to dozens of resorts across the U.S. Discounted passes are also available for veterans and their families. Learn more here.

Borrego Rooftop Kitchen + Cocktails: The San Diego eatery (overlooking Petco Park) will offer 20% off all food and beverage items to active duty and retired servicemembers May 1-11. Valid ID required. Learn more about the restaurant at this link.
Mission BBQ: The restaurant will offer free sandwiches to active duty servicemembers and veterans the week of May 12, with different branches eligible throughout the week and a special “Lunch With the Heroes” on May 17. Click here for details.
