Servicemembers and eligible veterans can watch NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics for free via the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES).

A ShopMyExchange.com account is required to access the coverage. Veterans can learn more about eligibility restrictions on the ShopMyExchange website, and all eligible users can create a free account. Once registered, follow these steps to watch more than 2,300 hours of competition.

The opening ceremonies take place Feb. 6, but some events will kick off earlier in the week. Want to track the U.S. servicemembers going for the gold? Here’s a handy cheat sheet. Note: Many events will air as part of taped-delayed coverage by U.S. providers; check here for full listings:

  • Biathlon: Army Spc. Sean Doherty will go for his first medal in four Olympics after competing in five biathlon events in Beijing, while Army Staff Sgt. Deedra Irwin will take part in her second Olympics; her seventh-place finish in the 15-kilometer race in Beijing four years ago was the best ever for an American in the event. The 2026 games include multiple events over 10 days of competition beginning Feb. 8; see the full slate.

  • Bobsled: Army Sgt. Frank Del Duca and Spc. Azaria Hill will join Senior Airman Jasmine Jones on Team USA in Italy. It’s the second Olympics for Del Duca, who competed in the two- and four-man sled in Beijing in 2022. The women’s solo (“monobob”) event kicks off the sledding in Italy on Feb. 15-16, the two-man event runs Feb. 16-17, the two-woman event runs Feb. 20-21, and the four-man event runs Feb. 21-22.

  • Figure Skating: Army Pvt. Spencer Howe joins partner Emily Chan on the ice in Italy. After the team event (Feb. 6-8), the pair will go for gold Feb. 15-16.

  • Nordic Combined: Army Sgt. Ben Loomis will take part in his third Olympics in Nordic Combined, which features both ski-jumping and ski-racing skills. See the full slate of competition, which kicks off Feb. 11.

  • Skeleton: Air Force Staff Sgt. Kelly Curtis took 21st in the event in her first Olympics four years ago in Beijing. The women’s event runs Feb. 13-14, while the mixed event takes place Feb. 15. Unfamiliar with this high-speed event? Check out this NBC video.
