MOAA again earned recognition on an annual list of the nation’s top employers for veterans, reservists, and military spouses, a reflection of the association’s commitment to support the total force.

The 2026 Vets Indexes Employer Awards honors more than 240 associations, businesses, government agencies, and other employers across four award categories. MOAA earned a spot in the Recognized Employer category, giving the association a place on the overall list in every year of award’s six-year existence.

“This award shows that MOAA does more than advocate for the service-connected community – our association puts action behind our words,” said Lt. Gen. Brian T. Kelly, USAF (Ret), MOAA’s president and CEO. “No one understands our mission to protect service-earned benefits better than those who’ve worn the uniform and their families – that understanding, combined with the skills and work ethic borne from service, will continue to help move MOAA forward.”

Other Recognized Employers on this year’s list, released April 27, include CVS Health, Sony Electronics, and Tyson Foods. The award criteria considers both recruitment and retention of service-connected employees, use of veteran-owned vendors and suppliers, and other factors.

Of MOAA’s 82 employees, 18 are former or retired servicemembers and eight are spouses of currently serving members.

Along with association hiring efforts, MOAA provides a suite of transition and career services to members of the uniformed services community and participates in the Department of War Military Spouse Employment Partnership, which connects military spouses with potential employers.
