Businesses across the nation will offer special deals for service-connected customers as part of Military Appreciation Month … if you know where to look.

Amusement Parks/Family Outings/Vacations
Blue Star Museums: Museums, zoos, nature centers, and other partners in the Blue Star Museums program will offer free admission for currently serving members and their families from May 16 through through Sept. 7. Check out a state-by-state list of participating locations.
Busch Gardens: Parks in Tampa, Fla., and Williamsburg, Va., will offer free one-day admission to veterans and up to three guests for a single visit May 10 to June 30. Veterans also can purchase single-day tickets for up to six guests at half price.
Cincinnati Zoo: Current and former military members receive free admission on Memorial Day and can purchase discounted tickets for up to six immediate family members. Military ID required.

Colonial Williamsburg: Servicemembers and veterans, and up to three "direct dependents," are eligible for a free single-day admission over Memorial Day weekend or Veterans Day weekend, plus discounted admission throughout the year.
** Enchanted Parks: Current and retired members receive free admission May 23-25 and can buy up to six more tickets for friends and family at 40% off the gate price. Participating parks: Diggerland USA (West Berlin, N.J.); Michigan's Adventure (Muskegon, Mich.); Six Flags Great Escape (Queensbury, N.Y.); Six Flags St. Louis; Schlitterbahn Waterpark (Galveston, Texas); Valleyfair (Minneapolis); and Worlds of Fun (Kansas City, Mo.).
Indianapolis Zoo: Current and former military members receive free admission on Memorial Day.
Kings Island: The Ohio amusement park will offer free admission to servicemembers and veterans May 22-25.
National World War I Museum and Memorial: The Kansas City, Mo., museum will offer free admission to veterans and active duty servicemembers (including spouses and dependents with ID) May 22-25, along with special events to mark its centennial.
* Resort for a Day: The provider of day passes to resort properties for cruise passengers will offer a 10% discount to active duty members, veterans, and accompanying family members.
SeaWorld: Parks in Orlando, Fla., San Antonio, and San Diego will offer free one-day admission to veterans and up to three guests for a single visit May 10 to June 30. Veterans also can purchase single-day tickets for up to six guests at half price.
** Silverwood & Boulder Beach: The Idaho amusement park will offer free admission to military personnel and veterans May 23-25, with discounts for immediate family members.
Vail Resorts: Servicemembers, military retirees, and their dependents can qualify for a $215 Military Epic Pass for the 2026/2027 ski season, allowing them access to dozens of resorts across the U.S. Discounted passes are also available for veterans and their families. Learn more here.

Restaurants
** Benihana: Military members, veterans, and Gold Star Families can receive a free five-course hibachi meal from a pre-set menu May 22-25 with the purchase of an appetizer. Reservations are suggested.
** Fogo de Chão: The steakhouse will offer 50% off a "full or indulgent churrasco meal" to servicemembers and veterans over Memorial Day weekend, plus 10% off for their guests. Find a location near you.
** Honey Dew: The New England-based chain will offer a free small or medium coffee to veterans May 25. One drink per person per visit.
Retail/Grocery/Automobile/Services
Academy Sports+Outdoors: Servicemembers and veterans can take 10% of their purchase (in-store and online) through July 4. Learn more here.
** Columbia: The outdoor gear retailer will offer a 20% discount for currently serving members, veterans, military spouses and family members, and surviving spouses through May 25.
* General Motors: GM offers a slate of discounts on eligible vehicles throughout May for servicemembers and veterans, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC models. Eligible customers can sponsor their spouse. Must take delivery by Jan. 4, 2027.
** Pilot: The travel centers will offer special deals to eligible servicemembers and their families for free food and drinks each week in May through the Pilot app. The deals are on top of a 10% year-round discount on food and beverages through the app for eligible members and families.
Rack Room Shoes: Military personnel and families receive a 20% discount on in-store purchases on Memorial Day and July 4. Must present military ID at checkout.
** Raley's/Nob Hill Foods: The grocery chain will offer a 10% discount on May 25 to currently serving members, retirees, veterans, and household family members. The discount is also available the first Tuesday of every month, July 4, and Veterans Day.
** Reebok: Military members and veterans can save 40% on select products through May 31.
** Sleep Number: Servicemembers and veterans can receive 5% off their purchase, along with other exclusive offers, through June 1.
