On Wednesday, January 13 MOAA testifies on the military commissary system. The commissary remains one of the most cost efficient benefits provided by the DoD to our military families, in terms of benefit value delivered per federal dollar spent. Proposed changes to the commissary have typically included a formula that would result in increased pricing to patrons. The DoD has recognized that those proposals result in a benefit cut, and are striving to cut costs only to the extent that they meet current savings benchmarks.
