No matter your industry or your experience level, MOAA’s FREE three-part workshop will offer advice and recommendations to help you begin (or continue) your journey of professional success. Join career transition specialist Capt. Pat Williams, USN (Ret), MOAA’s program director for Engagement and Transition Services, as she helps you develop and hone your skills in three critical areas: networking, résumé writing, and interviewing.
These classes will reveal and explain transition tips and tools that will bring you closer to your dream job: the one that makes you leap out of bed and race into morning rush hour, ready to begin another day. The one where you do what you love, are paid what you're worth, and enjoy making a difference.
Each one-hour session begins at noon Eastern:
- Seminar I, Networking (Jan. 12): Up to 85% of job-seekers find their next job through networking … are your connections up to the challenge? Get tips on mastering the art and science of networking, including how to tackle the powerful informational interview.
- Seminar II, Résumé Writing (Jan. 19): An award-winning, eye-catching résumé is a MUST. Learn practical résumé writing tips, find out how to write to influence others, and discover the best methods to showcase your skills, talent, and experience. With this guidance, you’ll be able to highlight how and why you are the best candidate for the job.
- Seminar III, Interviewing (Jan. 26): After networking points you to your dream position and you submit a polished résumé, you get the call: “We’d like you to come in for an interview.” This is your opportunity to shine – to tell your unique professional story. Let MOAA show you how to get ready.
While this three-part workshop series is best experienced in sequence and in its entirety, you are welcome to attend any module. Whether or not you attend live, you'll receive a link to a recording of all sessions for which you've registered.
