Understanding the Art of the Possible in Career Transition
This three-pronged approach, and a positive outlook, can do wonders as you take your next steps.
Capt. Pat L. Williams, USN (Ret) is a native of Webb, Mississippi, and has been stationed in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., area for the last several years.
Williams is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR); earned a Certificate of Mastery in Diversity & Inclusion; and holds a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy, Organization and Management–specialization in Human Resources Management) from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minn. Williams served in the U.S. Navy for 35 years in multiple high visibility leadership positions with a broad organizational background. Most recently, she served as the Deputy Comptroller & Deputy Director, Field Support Activity/Budget Submitting Office at the Navy Yard as Comptroller for the Chief of Naval Operations and staff.
Throughout her career, Williams has amassed a wealth of personnel and financial management experience, along with years of coaching and mentoring. You may think that having a Ph.D and certified HR Professional would mean all work and no play, but Williams enjoys going to Nationals baseball games, reading a good suspense or romance novel and you will most likely find her out on the Mount Vernon trail getting ready to tackle that next 5K charity running race!
This three-pronged approach, and a positive outlook, can do wonders as you take your next steps.
