As prices rise and markets fluctuate, immediate financial priorities can make retirement savings seem like a luxury instead of a necessity. But no matter your financial position, it’s important to keep long-term goals in mind, and that means having a plan to build (and protect) your retirement portfolio.

This can be especially daunting for military spouses – a group with high unemployment and underemployment rates whose members often change jobs (and retirement plans) as part of military moves.

Whether you’re a military spouse facing these challenges or others, or you’re simply seeking guidance on building a better retirement plan, MOAA can help. Join Lila Quintiliani, ChFC®, AFC®, MOAA’s program director for financial and benefits education/counseling, and Jen Goodale, director of government relations for military family policy and spouse programs, as they speak with special guest Lacey Langford, AFC®, of the Military Money Show podcast about topics like:

  • Why everyone needs their own retirement savings.
  • How military spouses can save or boost their savings.
  •  How to maximize your retirement plan, and the best ways to save for retirement if your job doesn’t have a retirement plan.
  • What to do with your retirement savings when you switch jobs

MOAA Premium and Life members have access to all recorded MOAA webinars at any time via MOAA’s Webinar Archive. Want to join MOAA? See MOAA.org/join for details.
