MOAA Webinar: Veterans and Alzheimer’s: Resources and a Personal Journey

Can’t make the webinar? No problem. Register now and we’ll send you a link to the recording.

More than half a million veterans have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and while we typically think of the aging population, that is not the whole story.

MOAA has teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Association to deliver a webinar that not only offers key information about service-specific resources and a chance to interact with Alzheimer's experts, it also will include the personal story of a young Army veteran's diagnosis of younger-onset Alzheimer's.

More individuals are projected to face this disease in the coming years. It is imperative that we educate the military and veteran communities, and the population at large, on the support available related to this life-changing condition. Join us for:

  • A look at VA and TRICARE resources, as well as those offered by the Alzheimer's Association, provided by Elise Passy, director of health systems for the Alzheimer's Association.

  • A journey of younger-onset Alzheimer's diagnosis with Samuel Valverde, Alzheimer's Association volunteer and national early stage advisor.

  • A discussion on connecting your MOAA chapter with your local Alzheimer's Association chapter.

  • A question-and-answer period to cover your concerns about the disease.

Don't wait to learn about your options. Let MOAA and the Alzheimer's Association outline the tools you have available.

MOAA Premium and Life members have access to all recorded MOAA webinars at any time via MOAA’s Webinar Archive. Want to join MOAA? See MOAA.org/join for details.
