Liz attended the University of Tennessee and grew up as a military brat before becoming a military spouse. Her husband is retired Army, and they are proud parents to two children.

Liz began her career on Capitol Hill focusing on defense issues, where she met her husband. As a military spouse, she has remained deeply engaged in the military-connected community through volunteer leadership roles, including serving on MOAA’s Currently Serving Spouse Advisory Council and the El Paso Times Advisory Board. Her background reflects a strong commitment to supporting servicemembers and their families, with experience spanning advocacy, community engagement, and mission-driven initiatives.
