Kevin Doremus is a dedicated public servant, husband, and father who prioritizes both his family and his role as a NOAA operational specialist. A Florida Institute of Technology graduate, he joined the NOAA Corps in 2011 (BOTC 118).
Doremus has logged over 4,500 mishap-free flight hours piloting the NOAA Twin Otter, Turbo Commander, and WP-3D Orion. His 12-year tenure at the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center included leadership roles in operations, administration, and programs, culminating as deputy chief of the Safety, Standardization, and Training Branch.
Currently stationed at NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations Headquarters, he serves as aviation advisor to the deputy director. He remains an active Hurricane-Qualified Aircraft Commander on the WP-3D and a Twin Otter instructor pilot. He has been a MOAA member since 2015.
