Cmdr. Brian Czarnecki is a native to the Midwest. An environmental health officer in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, he completed two master’s degrees while working in the private industry and instructing in academia prior to commissioning in 2014.
Czarnecki’s duty stations include the National Institutes of Health as a lead industrial hygienist, the USPHS Commissioned Corps Headquarters as a deployment specialist, and the National Park Service as an environmental health and safety specialist.
He has completed 15 deployments and temporary duties, most notably to Liberia, Africa during Ebola; Japan during COVID; and Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands for hurricane responses.
