MOAA Pittsburgh Chapter meetings feature guest speakers on a variety of topics of interest to members. The theme for 2021 was China: Strategic Choices and Capabilities; 2022 featured the editor of Proceedings, a naval affairs magazine, a bagpiper who demonstrated how bagpipes were - and are - used as a military device in place of bugles, the commanding officer of the USS BOXER (LHD-4) who talked about the Captain Phillips rescue off Somalia, and other interesting topics.
2023 speakers are still being assigned; 19 Feb is a business meeting (no speaker), for 26 March we will feature a drill team from one of the local educational institutions.
