The missions of the chapter shall be to promote the purposes and objectives of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) primarily at the local level; foster fraternal relations among retired, active and former officers of the eight uniformed services and the National Guard and Reserve Components; protect the rights and services for them and their dependents and survivors; and to serve the community and the nation.

Membership is open to all active, retired and former commissioned and warrant officers of our seven uniformed services to include the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserve Components, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration and US Public Health Service and their spouses. (Spouses who become chapter members have the same chapter rights as current members) Dues are $20.00 per calendar year. Those interested may contact our secretary or membership chair.

Our legislative chairman writes a monthly article in our newsletter on legislative information and suggestion of what action is required.

October 27, 2011
Twenty-six people agreed to chapter membership. Twenty people attended this organizational meeting. The decision was made to proceed with chapter establishment and subsequent submittal of a MOAA affiliation request from the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys Chapter (MSVC).

October 28, 2011 Col Calta formally requested affiliation of MSVC with MOAA. The MOAA Council and Chapter Affairs Board approved the affiliation this day.
