TRICARE Rates for 2019 Announced
MC1 James Stenberg / Navy

TRICARE recently established premiums and cost shares for 2019. As MOAA predicted, grandfathered Group A TRICARE beneficiaries will see minimal cost-share changes. Fees largely stayed the same and were adjusted based on the change in this year's COLA.

You can find all TRICARE fee and plan changes here. You can compare TRICARE plan costs here. A full breakdown of 2019 costs is available in this PDF.

MOAA continues to voice our membership's concerns to officials at DoD and the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Recently, in response to deliberate engagement from MOAA along with other military service organizations, the DHA has undertaken a rigorous data analysis on the impact these new cost shares are having on beneficiaries and their health care. Front and center of this review will be the fees charged for specialty appointments.

MOAA intends to provide beneficiary feedback we receive directly from our members as well as data gleaned through our health care surveys. Stay tuned, as we will be announcing the arrival of a new survey soon!
