What did it mean to be a MOAA member in 2022?

MOAA members helped push through landmark legislation extending VA benefits to millions of veterans. They continued grassroots efforts to preserve and expand benefits earned through service.

They worked with local councils and chapters to make a difference in their communities, whether geographic or virtual, and they provided critical support to MOAA’s charities, which launched new initiatives while maintaining legacy programs.

They also traveled the world with fellow members, explored an array of new member benefits, and took part in an ever-expanding series of webinars, in-person events, and other services provided by MOAA’s staff.

The below video – one of many available at MOAA’s YouTube page – offers a look at the organization’s accomplishments and challenges from the past 12 months, including a fond farewell to retiring MOAA President and CEO Lt. Gen. Dana T. Atkins, USAF (Ret). Note: The video was recorded prior to the passage of the FY 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and a year-end flurry of legislation; visit MOAA’s Legislative Action Center for up-to-date advocacy priorities.
