Tip of the Hat

… to the Western Colorado Chapter for its $2,500 bronze-sponsor donation to the 31st annual National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic held March 26-31 in Snowmass Village, Colo. About 400 disabled veterans participated in the clinic, which is a world leader in adaptive winter sports instruction for veterans and servicemembers with disabilities.

Well done!

… to members of the Head O’The Lakes (Minn.) Chapter who have raised about $1,000 by collecting and recycling “shiny paper” (e.g., ads, catalogs, flyers, and magazines).

We hear the chapter will use the money to support Honor Flight Northland and a scholarship for local ROTC cadets.

Great job coming up with such a unique fundraising effort!

… to the Ozark Empire (Mo.) Chapter for donating a set of service flags to the front reception area of the new Oldham Family Veteran Student Center at Missouri State University. The chapter was recognized in front of a crowd of about 300 at the dedication ceremony.

Kudos for supporting this important resource for student veterans!

… to the Manatee County (Fla.) Chapter, which awarded in April $2,000 scholarships to six Junior ROTC cadets from Manatee County’s public high schools. In addition, the chapter awarded five cadets $500 scholarships.

Thanks for all you’re doing to support this future generation of servicemembers!
