Tip of the Hat
… to members of the Kitsap (Wash.) Chapter, who represented MOAA in the 69th Armed Services Day parade in Bremerton, the largest on the West Coast.
Kudos for participating in such an important community event!
… to the New Hampshire Chapter, which presented the chapter’s Granite State Warriors Award to Sen. Kelly Ayotte April 29. The chapter recognized Ayotte for her six years of service to New Hampshire veterans, specifically through her work on the Senate Armed Services Committee. More than 102 people attended the ceremony held at the Common Man Inn in Plymouth, N.H.
Great work honoring those who champion military and veterans’ issues!
… to members of the Mid-Missouri Chapter for donating $450 to Welcome Home Inc., a program and facility that assists veterans by providing a place to stay, food, hygiene needs, and access to service programs. The chapter raised the funds during its “pass the hat” at its spring social.
Thank you for your continued support of local veterans’ causes!
… to the Tennessee Council of Chapters for representing MOAA at the National Guard Association of Tennessee Conference in late March. A dozen representatives from five Tennessee chapters volunteered their time to staff the MOAA booth at the conference and recruited nearly 60 new Basic MOAA members.
