Sleep in a Frank Lloyd Wright home? In Chicago, yes you can. The Emil Bach House, designed by the distinguished American architect and designer, is available as a vacation rental. The 1915 home, located one block from the Lake Michigan in Chicago’s East Rogers Park neighborhood, is one of the few remaining examples of Wright’s late Prairie-style houses. It was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1977 and placed on the U.S. Register of Historic Places in 1979. In 2013, the building was restored to its original appearance following a two-year renovation. Active duty, reserve, and retired military members with valid military ID get a 15% discount off vacation stays (six people maximum; two-night minimum). Rates vary by season. November through April, the discount is 20%. Call (773) 654-3959.
