Heading to the beach this summer? We found military discounts at a quiet Cape Cod bed-and-breakfast (B&B), beachfront resorts in North Carolina and the Caribbean, ocean-view condos in Hawaii, and even a luxurious villa on a private island off the coast of Belize — plus a free World War I and II commemorative event at Colonial Beach in Virginia.

CAPE COD, MASS.

The Platinum Pebble Boutique Inn is a luxury adults-only boutique B&B hotel located in the center of the Cape between Dennisport and Harwich Port. Wi-Fi, breakfast, chilled bottled water, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels are included in the room rate. Beaches are a short walk away, restaurants and shopping are within easy walking distance, and complimentary bikes are available. Regular rates range from $169 to $499 depending on room category and season. With the 10-percent military discount, the rates range from $152 to $449. “My dad served 20 years in the Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel, and we appreciate and respect the sacrifice greatly,” says Mike Hogan, who runs the inn along with his wife. Call (508) 432-7766.

HAWAII

The Residences at Waikiki Beach Tower are condominium suites with Waikiki Beach views, spacious living rooms; full kitchens; and one-, two-, or three-bedrooms. At this writing, the military rate starts at $607 (a 10-percent savings) for an oceanfront room, and the daily amenity fee is waived. Use promo code MILITARY when booking online, or call (855) 945-4092.

Aston Kaanapali Shores in Maui is an oceanfront resort with tropical gardens, waterfalls, a fitness center, a spa, and two pools. All rooms have a private lanai, and suites include kitchens, washers, and dryers. Military rates start at $270, a savings of 10 percent off the best available rate. The daily amenity fee is waived for military guests. Use promo code MILITARY when booking online, or call (855) 945-4092.

NORTH CAROLINA

Ocean Isle Inn has everything you need for a beach vacation: an oceanfront location, ocean-view rooms, free continental breakfast, an ocean-view outdoor pool, and a heated indoor pool. (Check out the views from the hotel’s webcam here.) Rooms regularly start $79 a night, but active duty and retired military members get a year-round 15-percent discount. Choose the Military Discount option when booking online, or call (800) 352-5988.

CARIBBEAN

Divi Resorts, with locations throughout the Caribbean, offers a 20-percent discount on best-available rates year-round to active duty, reserve, and retired military members, in addition to their spouses and children. Even better, the discount can be combined with any other promotions, maximizing your savings. The offer is available at family-friendly Divi Resorts in Barbados, Bonaire, St. Maarten, and Aruba (Phoenix Beach Resort, Divi Village, and Divi Dutch Village). Use promo code MIL20 when booking online, or call (800) 367-3484.

Cayo Espanto, a private-island, all-inclusive luxury resort located three miles off the coast of Belize, treats guests to five-star villas, over-water bungalows, private butlers, and personal chefs. As you’d expect, this level of over-the-top indulgence comes at an extravagant price — a one-night stay starts at $1,595 for two guests. But military members get a 20-percent discount throughout 2019. Meals, snacks, bar drinks, beer, sodas, fruit juice, bottled water, and all non-motorized activities (including use of sea kayaks and sail boat) are included. Call (910) 323-8355.
