MOAA Vice President of Development Col. Mike Turner, USAF (Ret), recently joined U.S. Rep. Barbara Comstock (left) and Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (right) at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new VA community access center in Leesburg, Va.

The new center will offer servicemembers and veterans and their family members in Northern Virginia access to VA mental health services, including readjustment counseling addressing mental health care needs such as post-traumatic stress, marriage and family therapy, military sexual trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.

The Falcons Landing (Va.) Chapter of MOAA received a 2017 Community Outreach Grant from the MOAA Military Family Initiative for its outreach work in the Loudoun County, Va., community, and the new community access center will figure prominently in that community collaboration.
