Chief Master Sgt. Mark Stevenson, USAF (Ret)

As the Senior Director of Business Development, Products and Services, Chief Master Sgt. Mark Stevenson, USAF (Ret) is responsible for the team managing contract services endorsed by MOAA.  He ensures programmatic excellence through business development strategies to enhance the value proposition to all MOAA members, while cultivating exceptional relationships with our business partners. 

Before joining the MOAA team, Stevenson served three years as the chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer of the Air Force Sergeants Association, where he was responsible for programmatic leadership, promulgating and implementing plans, policies, and strategies regarding future performance of the organization. He oversaw daily operations, led a talented team of staff director, and also serves as an integral advisor to the chairman on strategic planning, and association governance.   

Prior to AFSA, Stevenson served a the divisional training director with the Defense Intelligence Agency where he restructured the agency’s military training program from the ground up. His efforts positively impacted the training and professional development of more than 1,200 airmen, and 3,000 enlisted members world-wide. 

Career Highlights

  • Served 26 years in the United States Air Force before retiring in 2011 as a chief master sergeant with the 11th Security Force Group and Squadron, Andrews, AFB, Md.
  • Developed MOAA’s new business development process by providing for thorough vetting and detailed analysis, ensuring member benefits correlate with the MOAA brand, and bringing value to MOAA and its members
  • Serves on Board of Directors for a 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting servicemembers, wounded warrior, and homeless veterans, and educating local communities on the importance of military service
