Patrick Burke is a native of Northern Virginia. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University, Newport News, Va. and a Master of Accounting from The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va. Burke went through the accountant’s equivalent of bootcamp as a staff and senior for Deloitte & Touch, LLP where he audited the financial statements of large accelerated filers, pre-IPO companies, government contractors, and other privately-owned businesses. After his time in public accounting, Burke joined on as a staff accountant for a publicly held company where he assisted with the adoption of ASC 606 revenue recognition, filing of quarterly and annual financial statements, and technical accounting research.
Burke has no prior military service, but he has witnessed the personal and lasting sacrifices made by U.S. service members and their families, having grown-up in the Washington, D.C. metro area, a transient military-heavy hub, as well as marrying into the family of a retired Air Force colonel.
Burke and his wife live in Fairfax, Va. with their daughter and two dogs. Additionally, he is interested in advancement of early childhood education, obscure trivia, and the Washington Nationals.
Burke holds an active license as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
