As MOAA's Senior Director of Government Relations for Veterans-Wounded Warrior Care, Cmdr. René Campos, USN (Ret), is responsible for directing daily legislative advocacy operations and advising leadership on strategic and operational plans. She manages and develops relationships to advance legislative priorities and the MOAA brand with internal and external stakeholders. She serves as lead expert on VA health care matters, and she advises MOAA’s Government Relations and Health Care Board Committees.

The MOAA-backed bill passed more than a year ago. It emphasizes much-needed support for caregivers and mental health services, among other priorities.
MOAA will highlight the legislation, and other key veterans’ priorities, in our testimony on Capitol Hill next week.
