Lt. Col. Joshua Koncar, USA

LTC Joshua Koncar enlisted in the Army Reserve in August 2001. Joshua served as an operations non-commissioned officer in Operation Iraqi Freedom from March 2003 to April 2004. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before receiving a direct appointment to Second Lieutenant in 2007.

 

As a logistician, Joshua has served in various leadership and broadening assignments, including Commander, 733rd Transportation Company; Assignment Officer, Human Resources Command; S4 Logistics Officer, 361st Civil Affairs Brigade; and Operations Officer, 655th Regional Support Group. In addition to his service in Iraq, LTC Koncar completed an Overseas Service tour in Germany from 2012 to 2014 and an operational deployment to the Kingdom of Jordan in support of Operation Spartan Shield from June 2019 to March 2020. Joshua currently serves on the Department of the Army Staff as a Congressional Fellow.

 

LTC Koncar holds a Master of Professional Studies Degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University, summa cum laude; a Master of Arts Degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College with highest distinction; and a Master of Science in Management from Liberty University. Joshua is an undergraduate of Thiel College located in Greenville, Pennsylvania, and is currently attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellowship.

 

Joshua is a recipient of the Military Officers Association of America Colonel Paul W. Arcari Meritorious Service Award.
