Capt. Darius Izad, USAF

Capt Darius Izad, USAF, commissioned in 2018 through ROTC at the University of Washington, where he attended law school. He received a Master's in Asian Studies with an emphasis in Chinese security studies in 2015, and received his Bachelor's from Hamilton College, where he majored in Chinese.

 

As a Judge Advocate, Capt Izad has served as a military justice attorney at JBSA-Lackland, TX, deployed to JTF-GTMO in 2020 where he provided litigation support to both the 9/11 Trial Prosecution and Defense teams, and currently serves as an Area Defense Counsel at Kirtland AFB, NM,  where he assists Airmen facing military justice action.

 

Capt Izad's next assignment is at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, where he will receive an L.L.M in Military Law with an emphasis on Government procurement. He currently serves as an officer in MOAA's Judge Advocate Virtual Chapter.  Capt Izad is married to Bhavana Kodira, Special Assistant to the Assistant of the Air Force (Manpower and Reserve Affairs.)
