Mission

In concert with the Military Officers Association of America purposes and objectives. The goal is to foster fraternal relations among retired, active, and former officers of the uniformed services and their Reserve and National Guard components. Our aim is to actively promote the protection of the rights and interests of members of the uniformed services, their family members, including survivors, provide useful services for members and their families, and serve the community, the active military forces (past, present, and future) and our nation.

Chapter Activities

Our Service Area: Our organization serves a six-county region, which includes Surry, Yadkin, Davie, Stokes, Forsyth, and Davidson counties. We are dedicated to representing veterans from these areas on issues that matter to all veterans.

Supporting Education and Youth Leadership: The chapter supports three college ROTC programs at Wake Forest University, Salem College, and Winston-Salem State University, as well as 22 high school JROTC programs throughout our community. Each year, thanks to the generosity of our members, the chapter awards two $1,500 scholarships to college-bound graduating JROTC high school students. We also present MOAA Leadership Medals to other deserving JROTC students.

Community Involvement: Our members are proud to support several military-oriented causes, including Triad Honor Flight, Toys for Tots, the Marine Corps League Mud Run, and Wreaths Across America.

Our chapter is built on the foundation of fellowship, support, and the opportunity to continue serving our communities. While our service began in uniform, our commitment to service now takes new forms-helping neighbors and supporting fellow veterans in meaningful ways.
