From the South Beach scene to family fun, Florida has something for everyone — including military offers. Here are three:

In storied South Beach, the San Juan Hotel offers military members 15-percent off by using promo code THANKYOU. The hotel originally was built for wealthy snowbirds in the 1950s but has been redesigned to combine modern elegance with vintage Miami ambience. At this writing, in March, we found rooms starting at $199, making the military price about $169 (you save $30). Call (800) 468-1688.

WaterColor Inn, a four-star resort on Northwest Florida’s Emerald Coast, offers active duty and retired servicemembers a 20-percent discount on its beachfront guest rooms with its Military Appreciation deal, valid through May 22, 2016. The offer includes use of bicycles, canoes, and kayaks, and beach chairs and access to the workout room and private golf club. The 60-room inn sits on a white-sand beach, surrounded by pine forests. Regularly priced rates vary by room but start at about $435. Check rates and make your reservation on the website (be sure to use code MILAPP to get your discount). Or call (888) 991-8878.

For more beachfront accommodations and military offers, check out these Sonesta Hotel offers in Miami and Fort Lauderdale that we previously told you about.

Caribe Royale, an all-suite hotel in Orlando, has a great promotion for active duty, reserve, retired, and veteran military personnel. Flash your ID or form DD Form 214 to get special rates starting at just $128 for a roomy one-bedroom suite (the separate living room has a pullout sofa bed). You also get a nightly $30 food and beverage credit and late checkout. Call (800) 823-8300. The offer is valid through Sept. 22, 2016.

Want more ideas for a Florida escape? We previously told you about these deals and also these. Some of the specific offers may seem to have expired, but in many cases, the hotels have renewed the offer, or will extend it upon request. So go ahead and ask for a military discount.
