Emergency prescription refills will be available to all TRICARE beneficiaries in Texas through March 1 as the state recovers from a deadly winter storm.

The move allows TRICARE beneficiaries to take their empty prescription bottle to any in-network pharmacy to secure a refill. Find out which pharmacies are in the TRICARE network at this link or by calling 1-877-363-1303.

Beneficiaries are asked to seek a refill at the location they received the medication initially, if possible. Learn more about the emergency declaration, and keep track of updates, at this link.

This is the fourth disaster-relief notice from TRICARE this year, with previous alerts covering beneficiaries in Alabama, California, and New Jersey.

Relief Options for the Military Community

Those in uniform affected by the storms have more options than civilians as they seek assistance. Service-specific relief agencies can provide funds to cover emergency needs ranging from travel costs to no-interest loans. Along with currently serving members, aid may also be available to retirees, family members, and survivors.

Eligibility and options vary by agency. Follow these links to learn more:

The American Red Cross also may be able to assist servicemembers, military retirees, families, and survivors with immediate financial needs. Call 1-877-272-7337 for details.
