RADM Jonathan W. Bailey, NOAA (Ret) completed a 32-year career as a NOAA commissioned officer in 2012. He received his bachelor's degree in natural resources development from the University of Rhode Island and a master's in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle University, Fla.

He held a number of key policy and operational positions during his NOAA career, including director, NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps, and member of the Mississippi River Commission.

Following his retirement, he established a service-disabled veteran-owned small business and was general manager of Acme Industrial Inc., a marine and industrial repair business. He resides in Bradenton, Fla.
