January 2022 Military Executive Transition Seminar (Remote)
Session I: Jan. 20, 12:30-5 p.m. Eastern; Session II: Jan. 21, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Eastern

The Military Executive Transition (MET) seminar is a virtual workshop conducted over two half-days and geared toward preparing transitioning servicemembers, veterans, military spouses, and surviving spouses for professional civilian careers. The workshop focuses on key aspects of a successful military-to-civilian transition and on veterans and military spouses seeking advancement in their civilian careers.


The interactive seminar includes:

  • Insight on how to build a stronger and broader network to accelerate your job search.
  • Strategies for using recruiters and executive search firms.
  • Help with self-marketing tools including your résumé and LinkedIn profile.
  • An overview of your TRICARE and VA benefits.
  • Interview preparation and best practices for salary and benefits negotiations.


We encourage all Premium and Life Members to submit a copy of your résumé,  affording you with exclusive access to a members-only session offered by the MOAA’s career transition consultants. Furthermore, you will have an opportunity to practice your 30-second elevator pitch and participate in a mock interview.


The workshop concludes with a popular panel of successfully transitioned senior officers and talent acquisition professionals from a range of industries who share their experiences and insights.

Event Information

This seminar is offered completely online using Microsoft Teams and requires a computer or laptop with a working webcam and microphone, as well as a strong internet connection. We will provide a link to the platform upon registration and 24 hours before the seminar. This a great networking opportunity, and we highly encourage participants to use the audio and video functionality to take advantage of the interactive nature of the workshop.
