Col. David D. Stoddard, USAF (Ret)

Col. Stoddard served in the U. S. Air Force for nearly 27 years. His career included navigating in B-52s, instructing, service in Vietnam, squadron command, Joint Chief of Staff assignments at the Pentagon, base command, and SAC Headquarters at Offett AFB, Nebraska. He was dedicated to the Air Force and loved the life and the people. He was on active duty when stricken by leukemia in late 1985. He died in June, 1987.

He believed strongly in and encouraged education, and his wife, Mrs. Anne B. Stoddard, established a scholarship in his memory.
