Misty Motion, M.Ed , joined MOAA's Currently Serving Spouse Advisory Council in 2019.  

Misty recently completed a fellowship at Dog Tag, Inc. and earned a certificate in Business at Georgetown University. She currently is self-employed as a curriculum writer.  

Misty is passionate about education and has worked as a teacher, school counselor, and educational consultant. She has worked at public and private schools in Georgia, Florida, and Washington, D.C. Misty also enjoys volunteering with Honor Flight and at numerous special events around Washington, D.C., that serve veterans.  

Misty holds a master's degree in counseling from University of West Georgia and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University.  

She recently relocated to southern Maryland, where she resides with her husband, who is an active duty member of the Coast Guard, and their golden retriever.
