Servicemembers, retirees and their families who are planning a year-end getaway can land major discounts to Universal Orlando Resort, thanks to a new offer announced last month.

Discounted four-day adult passes for two of the resort's parks, Universal Studios-Orlando and Islands of Adventure, will cost about the same as a single-day admission for regular resort customers. The tickets must be purchased at information, tickets and travel offices, or at leisure travel offices, at participating installations; get a state-by-state list of participants at https://site.universalorlando.com/military/.

Tickets must be used by Dec. 31. The deal is available to servicemembers, retirees and Defense Department civilians, with up to six tickets per member. Be sure to bring your military or DoD identification.

Deals on other Universal Orlando packages are available, including a three-park, four-day ticket that includes admission to the resort's Volcano Bay Water Theme Park.
