Your dental coverage changes depending on your status as Active Duty, Selected Reserve (SelRes), Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), or Retired. The TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) for Active Duty servicemembers and their families is a government subsidized program with monthly premiums. The TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP) is a voluntary program with enrollee-paid premiums. Members of the IRR and/or their eligible family members may enroll in the TDP, however, they pay the full premium.
