MOAA's Running Team poses in front of the MOAA tent at the Army Ten-Miler, Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008.
MOAA members and headquarters’ staff laced up in Washington, D.C., Oct. 5 for the nation’s largest 10-mile race, the Army Ten-Miler.
A total of 55 runners represented the association, including MOAA President Norb Ryan Jr., USN-Ret. MOAA members and staff cheered on the runners all along the course through D.C. When the racers reached the finish line, they went straight to the post-race party in the MOAA tents. There they cooled off, rehydrated, and snacked with fellow team members.
The night before the race, the team, staff, family, and friends loaded up on carbohydrates and enjoyed team camaraderie at the MOAA pasta supper held at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA.
