8th Air Force (WWII)—I need help appealing an Air Force declination of a Distinguished Flying Cross
(DFC) award. A friend and B-17 tail gunner flew 30 combat missions between October 1944 and April 1945. The Air Force says it doesn’t award a DFC for the number of missions flown then. I need precedent data to the contrary. Contact: J.
