Official rules: No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning. Entry period begins the first working day of each fiscal quarter and ends midnight, ET, on the last working day of the fiscal quarter. Each quarter's drawing is separate from all other previous or future drawings.
How to enter: Follow the directions published on the MOAA Web Base at www.moaa.org/prize. Check the box next to each newsletter title to start an e-newsletter subscription. Each box checked constitutes one entry into the drawing. Each individual's entry will consist of a checked box on their e-mail subscription page. For eligibility, at least one subscription box on a member's or guest's record must be checked no later than the last working day of the fiscal quarter. Qualifying entries must include a valid email address in order to receive email subscriptions and prize notification. Only entries received during the fiscal quarter are eligible for entry into the random drawing for one prize. An individual may receive up to (and no more than) five chances to win. MOAA assumes no responsibility for entries that are corrupted or otherwise not received correctly, or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail, or on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the sweepstakes.
Announcement of winner: One winner of an iPod package will be drawn at random on the next working day after the last day of the fiscal quarter. Prize awarded may or may not resemble the prize pictured. Approximate retail value: $400.
Prize claiming: Winner will be notified by email and have 30 days to claim the prize before it is reissued. The winner will be announced on the MOAA Web Base. Any notification of winning returned as undeliverable may result in the awarding of the prize to an alternate winner. No responsibility assumed for lost, mutilated, misdirected, illegible, or postage-due mail. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. All claims are subject to verification by MOAA, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters.
Odds: Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received.
Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States and U.S. territories, 18 or older, except employees of Military Officers Association of America, its agents, and members of their immediate families. Each entrant must complete the following information on his or her record to be eligible: Full name, military information (if applicable), valid e-mail address, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Claimant may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility that must be signed and returned within 14 calendar days from the date printed on the notification of winning.
Awarding of prizes: Entry and acceptance of a prize constitute permission to use the winner's name, photograph, or other likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, and promotion on behalf of Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), without further compensation to the winner unless prohibited by law. Prizes are not transferable and there will be no substitutions, except due to unavailability. All entries become the property of MOAA, and data will not be shared with third parties. Entries will not be acknowledged. By accepting any prize, the winner releases MOAA and its affiliates from any loss, damages, cost, or expense associated with the prize product. MOAA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the sweepstakes in the event that the sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of promoter that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute as to the winner's identity, entries will be deemed made by the holder of the e-mail account associated with the entry.
