Mission

Our members are committed to the pursuit of fraternity, comradeship and a few Sea Stories - with lots of time in the air and on Ground. The SWRCC keenly supports state and National legislation to improve the quality of life and service for Active Duty, Retired, and former military personnel and their dependents. We are actively looking for ways to improve our meetings and to meet the needs of our members.

About Our Chapter

Our Chapter (SWRCC) meets on the third Wednesday of each month (except July & August)at the Hungry Hunter (soon to be renamed Vail Lake Steak House) on Jefferson Ave in Temecula, California between Winchster & Overland Dr (nearest to Overland Dr.) 1130 for cocktails, 1200 for lunch - Good Food! We normally have an outside program of local interest and entertainment. We are currently 100 strong and actively updating our membership files to insure more effective communications within our group. The forever attractive "Ladies of MOAA" are equally active as our incredibly supportive Auxillary component. The Ladies meet once each month as well.

Information on Joining the Chapter

You are most cordially invited to join us. Becoming a member of the Southwest Riverside County Chapter is extremely simple. Make a call to T. Michael Bircumshaw at 951-541-0900 or send an E-mail to SWRCMOAA@yahoo.com; the rest is nearly automatic. Membership in the SWRCC MOAA Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. If you fit in there at all; please give us a call.

Chapter Activities

The SWRCC MOAA Chapter holds 10 meetings each year featuring guest speakers on topics relevant to the members. A special Christmas party is held each December. In addition the chapter supports 6 local JROTC programs. The activities of SWRCC are being evaluated and I would caution you that it seems as though there may be a reasonably dramatic upswing in events in the very near future.

Legislative Issues

This section is under construction and development as we have just installed a new slate of officers and directors as of 10 December and held a "new slate" Board of Director's meeting on the 15th of December. Please enjoy the very Merriest of Christmas and the Happiest of New Years with your family and friends. The bottom line is that the SWRC MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national and California state legislative agenda.

General Information

This is a "WIN - WIN" kind of Chapter. The Chapter "wins" by having you as a member and you "win" by being a member of this chapter. On behalf of the entire membership; we thank you for your service, both then (BACK IN THE DAY) and now (TODAY & TOMORROW) and look forward to your participation. Come on down! We look forward to meeting you and knowing you. We will even give you a "GOOD LISTENING" to, if you care to drop by and share some of your time with us. "IT'S THE MEMBERS THAT MATTER"
