The mission of OEMOAA is to benefit the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members. Our objectives are to: • Educate our members and the public, to help promote and support our great nation and its constitution. • Aid active and retired service members and their dependents and survivors. • Inform representatives in local, state and the federal governments when legislation of military interest are under consideration.

Membership in OEMOAA is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. OEMOAA actively supports the ROTC program at Missouri State University, area high school JROTC programs and the Military Veterans Home in Mount Vernon, Missouri. Several special social and informational activities are scheduled throughout the year to promote camaraderie and community involvement.

Our chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and we annually invite our Congressional Representative and Senators to speak to the chapter. The chapter is also active in supporting the state council in various state veterans' issues.

OEMOAA meetings are held in the second floor conference room of the C.H. "Chub" O'Reily Cancer Center, 2055 S. Fremont, Springfield, MO. Meetings begin with a social hour at 6:30, followed by dinner at 7:00 and include a guest speaker. Future meetings are scheduled for November 8th and December 13th in 2013 and for January 24th, February 28th, March 21st, April 18th, May 16th, June 20th, September 26th, October 24th and November 14th of 2014. The Ozark Empire Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (OEMOAA) was founded in 1967. Our members include all branches of the armed services and their spouses. We meet regularly to promote our chapter's mission and objectives and to foster fraternal relations among our members.
