Mission

The mission of the Northeast Arkansas MOAA Chapter is to benefit the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members.

About Our Chapter

The Northeast Arkansas MOAA Chapter was chartered in 1997 in Jonesboro, Arkansas and draws its 150+ members from many communities in the northeast sector of the state, to include Paragould, Newport, Pocohantas, Marked Tree, Imboden, and Osceola. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Holiday Inn in Jonesboro (Caraway and 63 by-pass). A regular monthly newsletter is published to provide the latest information on events affecting members, such as Tricare & Tricare for Life (TFL) updates, info on upcoming meetings, etc.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in the Northeast Arkansas MOAA Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses.

Chapter Activities

The Northeast Arkansas MOAA Chapter holds 9 monthly meetings a year (September through May)featuring guest speakers on topics relevant to the members. A special Christmas party is held each December. In addition the chapter supports 10 local JROTC programs at: Westside High School, Trumann High School, Brookland High School Paragould High School and the Senior ROTC program at Arkansas State University. As a member of the Craighead County Veterans Memorial Foundation, the Northeast Arkansas MOAA Chapter supports the annual Veterans Day tribute in Jonesboro, as well as Patriots Day Activities and Memorial Day programs.
