About Our Chapter

The Genesee Valley Chapter (GVC) was chartered on May 26, 1961 and is proud of its long standing history of service and support to its members and the greater military community. GVC is one of more than 400 independent, self-governing, and self-supporting organizations that affiliate with MOAA National to collaborate to accomplish the MOAA mission. GVC covers a large area in the Genesee Valley in upstate New York between Buffalo and Syracuse and extending south into the Finger Lakes Region. GVC is one of nine chapters in the New York State MOAA Council of Chapters. GVC publishes a newsletter (print and e-mail) six times a year and currently has about 130 members.
