Chapter membership is free for the first year. After your first year, dues are:

• $12 for one year
• $30 for three years

The MOAA Fort Meade Chapter brings together members of the military community for fellowship, service, and advocacy. We typically meet on the last Saturday of each month, with a summer recess during July and August.  Our activities include informative guest speakers, legislative and veterans’ advocacy, support for local JROTC programs, community outreach, and social opportunities. We also partner with the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) on programs and activities that support our shared commitment to service and the military community. Join us to stay connected, make new friendships, and continue making a difference.

The Fort Meade Chapter continues to advocate for issues that directly affect servicemembers, veterans, military retirees, surviving spouses, and their families. Working in support of MOAA National and the Maryland Council of Chapters, our priorities include protecting earned military and veterans’ benefits, improving access to quality health care, supporting military families and surviving spouses, and strengthening compensation and retirement protections. At the state level, we remain particularly focused on making Maryland more attractive and affordable for military retirees, including continued efforts to reduce the state tax burden on military retirement income. Through legislative engagement, member outreach, and communication with our elected representatives, the Chapter will continue to ensure that the voices of the military and veteran community are heard in Annapolis and on Capitol Hill.

The Fort George G. Meade Chapter was established on May 23, 1991. The chapter is more than 75 members strong and continuing to grow. Our chapter brings together current, former, and retired military officers and surviving spouses for fellowship, advocacy, community service, and continued service to the military community.

The Chapter supports MOAA National and Maryland legislative priorities, hosts monthly luncheons featuring military, government, veterans, and community leaders, and supports local JROTC programs and future leaders. Members stay informed and connected through our quarterly newsletter and monthly event flyer, featuring upcoming programs, chapter news, legislative developments, and opportunities to get involved.

We welcome new members and invite you to become part of our growing chapter as we serve our community, strengthen our connections, advocate for the military community, and continue making a difference.
