Mission

The mission of the MOAA Chapter is to benefit the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in the MOAA Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. Yearly dues are $25.00. Surviving spouses are invited to join for $6.00 per year.

Chapter Activities

The FFMOA Chapter holds 12 meetings a year featuring guest speakers on topics relevant to the members. In addition the chapter supports 9 local JROTC programs and 1 ROTC program. Recently FFMOA has donated to the Dare County Hotline and is actively seeking other local organizations to assist.

Legislative Issues

The MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and we annually invite our Congressional Representative and Senators to speak to the chapter. The chapter is also active in supporting the state council in various state veterans' issues.

General Information

FIRST FLIGHT MILITARY OFFICERS ASSOCIATION meets the first Tuesday of each month for a luncheon meeting. The meetings are generally held at Roosters Southern Kitchen, 804 S Croatan Hwy, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina 27948. Meetings consist of business meeting followed by the meal and a speaker/entertainment. Call to confirm times and days.

About Our Chapter

The FFMOAA Chapter was chartered in 1995 and serves the northeast part of the state. Our members currently reside in Camden, Currituck, Dare, Edenton, Hertford and Pasquotank counties. Meetings are held monthly usually at Roosters Southern Kitchen, 804 S Croatan Hwy Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina 27948. The chapter publishes a monthly newsletter, FFMOAA News, that is distributed via email or hard copy to members. The chapter currently has 20 members made up of currently serving, former, and retired officers and their survivors. FFMOA currently holds a luncheon meetings the first Tuesday of each month at Roosters Southern Kitchen, 804 S Croatan Hwy Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina 27948. Meetings begin at 1130 AM.
