Mission

MOAA is the nation's largest and most influential association of military officers. It is an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization.

We actively support the legislative goals of the Military Officers Association of America, state and national.

Chartered on 21 November 1974, CCMOAA is one of 16 Chapters of the North Carolina State Council.

The Coastal Carolina Chapter serves Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Pamlico, Pitt, and Wayne counties. Our chapter includes officers from every branch of service Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, USPHS, and National Guard) both active duty and reserve officers, along with retired officers and their families.

MOAA's Coastal Carolina Chapter's highest priority is providing accurate and focused information and services to Eastern North Carolina's active duty and veterans in addition to, government and services organizations.

- We advocate and protect the rights and interests of personnel of the Uniformed Services and their dependents and survivors.

- We provide expert advice and guidance to our State and Local legislative members and play an active role in those topics affecting the career forces, our bases, the retired community, and veterans of the uniformed services.

We are the leading local voice for all members of the Coastal Carolina military community. Serve alongside us and make a difference

About Our Chapter

Coastal Carolina's Chapter of MOAA is primarily a member service organization. Through the volunteer efforts of our members and their financial contributions, we:

- Foster comradeship among our members by providing interesting, enriching, and informative events and activities.

- Support veterans, especially those veterans in need, and team with Craven County's Veterans Council and other organizations with whom we have common interests in supporting veterans.

- Provide services for members and their dependents and survivors in time of need.

- Serve the community by actively supporting area Veterans activities such as: Toys-for-Tots, the State Veterans Home in Kinston, and Craven County Veterans Stand Down.

- Actively participate in Veterans Councils, and all Veterans and National commemorations.

- Support our seven high school JROTC and two college ROTC programs thru awarding of scholarships and awards to deserving cadets.

- Promote the purposes and objectives of the Military Officers Association of America.
