The MOAA awards program began in 2004 to recognize students and faculty who have contributed significantly to the study, implementation, and spirit of joint-service warfare at military education institutions. In just over two years, it has grown to include other programs and organizations from all services around the country.
Officials at the respective sites select the awardees and MOAA Outreach Program Directors Capt John Plehal, USN-Ret., COL Jess Ramirez, ARNG-Ret, and COL Pete Carozza, USAR-Ret., coordinate presentation of the recognition by a member of the MOAA Board of Directors.
MOAA congratulates these outstanding individuals and groups who are strengthening the foundation future generations will build upon.
