Colonel Richie-Melvan earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wagner College, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas, and her doctorate from The George Washington University School of Business and Public Management. She also graduated from the Army War College, the Field Combat Nursing Course, and the Command and General Staff College. She was a White House Fellow and has served in the Pentagon and in Army hospitals in the District of Columbia, Texas, Germany, California, and Maryland. She also served as Director, Health Services Directorate, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Fort Knox, Ky. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Veterans Homes Foundation and is President of MOAA’s Citrus County Chapter. She lives in Inverness, Fla. |
