Golf Tournament Raises Over $70k for MOAA Scholarship Fund

Over 60 individuals participated in this year's 15th Annual Jeff Peck Memorial Golf Classic for MOAA Scholarship Fund.

This yearly-event is a staple to funding the Scholarship Fund, which has earned the non-profit a GuideStar Platinum rating. A total of $71,675 was raised through corporate sponsorships and individual donors participating in the Golf Classic this week.

“Today's event was a great example of MOAA and our like-minded sponsors coming together to support military children,” says Andrea Rand, executive director of the MOAA Scholarship Fund.

In the past 14 years, the Golf Classic has raised more than $1.2 million dollars for the Educational Assistance Program. The thousands of dollars raised each year provide interest-free loans and scholarship to military children pursuing undergraduate degrees.

“Events like the Peck golf tournament are important because it is an opportunity for different organizations to come together and invest in the futures of our brave men and women in uniform's children….Enriching the lives of these students is an important part of the MOAA mission,” says Brandon Hinke, Development Operations Manager.
