Beautiful beaches, tropical scenery, and a rich history: When it comes to memorable vacations, you can’t do much better than Hawaii. We found military discounts on restaurants, accommodations, tours, and interisland flights.

Luxury accommodations

The Modern Honoluluis an urban resort boasting Pacific Ocean and city skyline views, two ocean-view pools, a nightclub, and a lobby bar. The 353-room, four-diamond hotel is within walking distance to popular Waikiki beaches, Hawaii’s largest open-air shopping center, and luxury boutiques and retail stores. Creative cuisine

Honolulu’s The Street Food Hall, by Michael Mina, on the ground floor of Waikiki’s International Market Place, offers active duty and veteran military personnel a 50-percent discount on food purchases (alcohol excluded) on Saturday and Sunday. The lively gathering place includes nine restaurant concepts, two bars, and one coffee shop, with offerings served for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night. Choose from a Mediterranean kitchen, authentic Italian food, barbecue dishes with exotic flair, a burger joint, contemporary seafood, a Tokyo-style noodle stand, Hawaiian Tiki bar, and more.

Historic tours

Pearl Harbor Oahu offers door-to-door tours of military and historic sites, such as USS Arizona Memorial, where nearly 1,200 servicemembers were killed Dec. 7, 1941; battleship USS Missouri; Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific; USS Bowfin submarine; Pacific Aviation Museum; and more.
