MOAA Stands for Families Tile

The application period for the 2016-2017 Council is now closed. Please look for our 2017-2018 Council applications in summer 2017.

MOAA’s Currently Serving Spouse Advisory Council is a diverse group of active duty, National Guard and Reserve component spouses who represent the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, United States Public Health Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Each year MOAA invites a new council class to provide feedback on our programs and policy efforts.

Diversity wanted

Our Council members have served in a wide variety of roles including educators, entrepreneurs, writers, health care professionals, news reporters, lawyers, government employees, congressional staff members, nonprofit representatives, volunteers and dual military - we welcome all currently serving officer spouses and their diverse experiences. Council members serve one to two year terms and typically live in the DC Metropolitan area so they can attend bi-monthly/quarterly council meetings during their tenure.

Why you should apply

The Council is an opportunity for you to impact MOAA programs, reaching 380,000 officers and their families - as well as the entire military community. You’ll network with local spouses from different services and participate in MOAA events.
